Business Development visas
Business Development visas are provisional visas of up to 4 years that allow business people to establish a business in Australia, manage a new or existing business or invest in Australia.
There are a number of different Business Development visa subclasses that cater for different kinds of business people.
The rules for each business visa subclass are different, but in general there are requirements relating to age (often less than 45 and sometimes 55 years old), previous successful business experience, ownership of a business with a turnover of at least AUD$300 000 per annum or management experience in a major business, business or personal assets of at least AUD$500,000 that are available to bring to Australia, and a genuine and realistic commitment to be involved as an owner or manager or investor in a new or existing business in Australia.
